1. Who we are

This Privacy Notice describes how SwiftVendNG ("SwiftVendNG", "we", "us") collects and processes personal data through the swiftvend.com.ng platform. SwiftVendNG acts as the data controller for personal data described here.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, login credentials, referral code.
  • Transaction data: wallet balance, top-up history, VTU purchase records, phone numbers and meter/decoder numbers you enter to complete a purchase.
  • Support data: messages you send us and diagnostic information.
  • Usage & device data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, timestamps.

3. Why we use it

  • Create and secure your account (contract performance).
  • Process VTU purchases and route them to upstream providers (contract performance).
  • Prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interest).
  • Improve the Service and troubleshoot issues (legitimate interest).
  • Respond to your support requests (contract performance).
  • Send service and, where permitted, marketing communications (consent / legitimate interest).
  • Meet legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).

4. Who we share it with

  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing and refunds.
  • Upstream VTU providers (e.g. MobileNig and network operators) to fulfil your airtime, data, cable and electricity requests.
  • Cloud infrastructure and analytics subprocessors that host our database, authentication and application.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Transaction records are typically retained for at least 7 years for tax and audit purposes. Other data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the Nigeria Data Protection Act), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights email privacy@swiftvend.com.ng.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security on our database — to protect personal data.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies through your browser at any time; doing so may sign you out.

9. Changes

We may update this notice. Material changes will be communicated via the Service.
